I have been an animal lover from a small age and have always had a special connection with dogs especially. This connection lead me to volunteering at the local human society while in highschool and for a dog daycare in my early 20’s. It was through both of these experiences that I became interested in dog training and behaviour therapy and enrolled in the Canine Correspondence Studies course to become a positive dog trainer, behaviour, fear and aggression therapist.
After having seen the amount of animals ending up in the shelter every year (mostly due to behaviour issues from a lack of proper training and socialization) it set me on a path to try and alleviate some of the problem.
I am passionate about educating dog owners on canine behaviour and communication as well as positive reinforcement training techniques to ensure that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to facilitate the best relationship possible between owner and canine. Animal welfare is always at the forefront of all of my training. I firmly believe that fear, pain and punishment have no place in dog training and only use training techniques that teach through positive association and foster trusting relationships that build a confident, well mannered dog.
Dahlia is a 7 year old shepherd/lab cross. She’s an incredibly smart, sweet, silly dog. Her quirks and sensitivities have made me a better trainer. She loves exploring hiking trails and is an incredible companion in all of life’s adventures.
Tikka is a 10 year old retriever/lab cross. She’s my strong and steady girl. She’s very smart, loving and friendly. She has a nose like no other and loves her time outdoors, especially in the winter. You always feel safe in her company.
